Boys day out-Take 2

Kaden has been under the weather this past week. (same nasty ear infection....tubes on the way) But today he woke up saying "side, side" so I decided to take him to the park. Here is the Readers Digest version of our first trip. After a breakfast of grapes and thrown cherrios we arrive at the park. Exploded diaper. Nascar style change with gagging. Go back home. Wash clothes. Run bath. No hot water but happy bathing baby. Water turns too cold. Screaming baby..."Mommy, Mommy" Dads heart breaks. Change of clothes and back to the park!!

I just want it to be known that I do try to take pictures of Kaden when he is actually looking at the camera and quite often smiling, but it seems to be an impossible task lately. My camera is not fast enough for a speedy sixteen month old who does not sit or stand in one place longer than a millisecond. We have recently taught him how to say cheese, which does make him pause for a quick moment and make his adorable squint face, but I have yet to catch it. I'm working on it though. Stay tuned.

Kaden's new ladies

This is Kaden loving life with two of his new ladies. Amanda (Mimi) now takes care of Kaden while we are working. Kaden is already learning many new things from Cate, who will be 2 at the end of next month. Missing from this photo is Angeline, 3 months, who Kaden likes to bring his toys to throughout the day, as well as lounge in her bouncy chair.

Playing in the toy box

Recently Kaden has discovered the joy of playing in his toy box. It's even more exciting when he is in the toy box throwing (gently tossing) his toys at the cat.

Marbles Museum

We took Kaden to Marbles Children's Museum in Raleigh on a rainy Wednesday morning. Insane. There were 3 or 4 school field trips there, so the place was packed. Luckily, he was only able to play in a few areas, so we avoided some of the chaos. He had a blast running from area to area, shopping, mooing at the cows, planting vegetables, and playing in the peas & carrots ball pit. We will go back...eventually.

Vacation

Kaden has not slept in the car in months, but this is what vaction does to you! We just returned from a wonderful trip to Michigan where we were able to visit it with many family members. It was a fantastic week, and we enjoyed visiting with everyone. I have finally found the time to post a variety of pictures from our trip. Enjoy!
