Hello family & friends!

I am learning new things everyday! My parents started feeding me cereal, and I think it's kind of bland, but I hear it will get better with time. I try to make them happy by eating all that they give me. The pediatrician called me a beanpole, but was proud of my weight gain. I am up to 13 lbs 9 oz, but should be a little bigger. I eat a lot, but I like to move ALL the time!

My friend Amanda watched me last week, and we had the best time. She worked with me every day, and now I can roll over from back to front! I like to reach for my toys (or toes) and eat them. My mom & dad have been trying hard to find ways to make me laugh. Sometimes I do it for them, but I like to make them work for it. Overall, life is good- I am a very happy guy!

Cereal!

No, that is not spit up for once!! We gave Kaden his first serving of cereal a few days ago and he wasn't sure what to make of it at first. Today was day three, and it is going much better. He swallows about half of the serving now, which is a huge improvement from day one.

Kaden's first festival

We took Kaden to a wine festival at an ampitheater down the road from us in Cary. It was a beautiful day, and he had a great time! He is so alert and loves to watch everything. It seems like he figures something new out everyday.

Hawaii

I was extremely fortunate to have the chance to visit Hawaii a few weeks ago for a whirlwind four days. I had a fabulous time watching my friend Amber get married. I was sad to leave Kaden for the first time, but he was in the best hands ever- with Grandma & Grandpa Strachan and Dad.

It was so wonderful to see Amber marry Brandon and to spend time with Katrina, who I had not seen in far to long!

The sea turtles came up on the shore each day in the afternoon then swam back in the evening.

Look closely- it's there! I could see whales in the distance every morning from the deck- amazing. But nothing prepared me for the whale watch we went on. We saw six or seven whales from the boat. One did a full flip in the air!
